NATIONAL ICT CERTIFICATION STANDARD (NICS)
The PIKOM CIO Chapter (PCC) has embarked on a National ICT Certification Standard (NICS) project to craft out certification standards for the various ICT professional disciplines with the objective of improving the level of professionalism among ICT professionals in Malaysia. NICS will then be issued to PIKOM member companies to design courses and offer training and education services to certify ICT professionals.

PCC's approach will be collaborative in that it will not re-invent the wheel; where existing standards from any party can be used on a collaborative basis with PCC/PIKOM, that approach will be adopted.

A sub-committee will be formed for each of the following disciplines as below:-
- Project Management
- Security Management
- Network Management
- ITSM (specifically Service Desk)
- Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN)
- The CIO Diploma

PCC/PIKOM are seeking volunteers to participate in the above sub-committees. We would appreciate if you could volunteer your certified and experienced professionals in any one or all of the above to help craft NICS and contribute to the improvement of professionalism that our industry so badly needs.
